Ventral view of Balcoracania dailyi's cranidium with hypostome in situ.

The hypostome in E.polymera are similar in basic morphology to that of B.dailyi. In B.dailyi the anterior wings are more prominent.

This is a rare occasion (pictured below) of a disarticulated specimen of Balcoracania dailyi with a well defined hypostome. All the hard body components have stayed together: both genal spines are present above cephalon, thoraxial segments are intact showing well preserved macropleural spines, and the tip of the opisthothorax is placed by the end of the macropleural spine, with the rare occasion of a well preserved hypostome situated by the left thoraxial segments. This specimen would be approximately 14mm in overall length.
