THOR'S HELMET

105X: WOW! Can easily pick the viking helment, as a bright, nebulous mass, with the horns standing out quite well.
30" f/5 Newtonian plus OIII filter - The two horns are very bright, and long. Thor's right shoulder can be seen and he is wearing an amour plate on his left shoulder. His beard is obvious, and his face, the bubble, shows lines and filaments. It's as if Thor is standing on one side of the window with me on the other - he seems so close!

THE ESKIMO NEBULA

50X: Splendid! Very bright, round disc, 40" in size, with the 10.5 magnitude central star seen.
