Crimson (Adelaide) Rosella - Platycercus elegansxflaveolus

Resident. Very common. Adult has blue cheek patches, orange-red fore-crown and belly, black and yellow mottled back, blue wings and tail. Juvenile is mostly dull olive-green with blue cheeks and some red on face and belly. Feed in trees and on ground.

Voice: noisy chatter, bell-like call, raucous screech.

Call 1: bell-like call
Call 2: screech while flying
Call 3: pink-pink-pink call
