Fantailed Cuckoo - Cuculus pyrrhophanus

Occasional winter-spring visitor. A medium-sized, dark grey bird with pale chestnut underparts, yellow eye-ring and wedge-shaped tail with strongly marked white notching. The undertail is barred black and white. Juvenile birds are dark brown above, barred reddish-brown.

Voice: mournful descending trill, often repeated.

Call 1: three single calls, then a double call
