Spotted Pardalote - Pardalotus punctatus

Occasional visitor. A very small bird with a black crown spotted with white, white spots on the wings and tail, white eyebrow, yellow throat and vent. Forages in the canopy.

Voice: a soft but penetrating, slow, three-syllable call, 'sleep baby'; sometimes just the last two syllables or single plaintive note.

Call 1: single note repeated.

Similar species: Striated Pardalote has a streaked, not spotted crown, a yellow and white eyebrow, yellow throat and pale vent.
